Child relief (per child)
For each dependent child in YA 2025 you claim RM 2,000 if the child is under 18, RM 2,000 if 18+ in full-time A-levels/pre-university study, or RM 8,000 if 18+ in diploma or degree studies (local or abroad). It is status-based and needs no receipts.

What qualifies
- Unmarried child under 18: RM 2,000
- Unmarried child 18+ in full-time pre-university study: RM 2,000

Good to know
- Claimed by one parent, or split 50/50 if elected.
- Separate from childcare fees, breastfeeding equipment and disabled-child relief.
