SimpanResit (“we”, “us”) helps Malaysian taxpayers store and organise receipts for income-tax relief. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name and email address from your Google account, used only to create and sign you into your account.
- Receipts you upload — receipt images and the details extracted from them (merchant, date, amount, and the tax-relief category you assign).
- Usage data — basic analytics about how the app is used, to improve it.
How we use your information
- To store your receipts and track your tax-relief usage against annual limits.
- To read receipt details automatically, we send the receipt image to a third-party AI provider (OpenRouter) for text extraction. Images are processed to return the extracted data and are not used to train models.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
Service providers
We use Google (sign-in), Supabase (database, authentication, and encrypted file storage), OpenRouter (AI receipt extraction), and a privacy-friendly product-analytics provider. We do not sell your personal data.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is kept while your account is active. You can delete individual receipts at any time, and you may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us.
